Happy Father’s Day To All the Father’s Out There!

The Drumpf parade was a dud. (Why Drumpf? Because it was his grandfather that came to the U.S. to avoid the German military draft and changed his name. Drumpf is a 2^nd generation American with a changed name that is ‘old’ in Germany and not related to him.) While I did not watch the parade, I did look for and find footage of the spectators and it looked like there were more people in the parade than in attendance watching it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Goal: Take the attention away from him, then mockery after the fact. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The rallies, on the other hand, were awesome and well filled. The last number I read was 8 million people, but I am going to guess there were more than that. Some places gathered more than 100,000 people alone, some only in the hundreds. Where I live, there was one big huge rally of 10,000 people, but lots of smaller ones scattered throughout the area, so counting numbers is likely to be short of the actual number of people who were out and about yesterday showing peaceful solidarity against the crimes and policies of the Drumpf attack on America. While there were areas of non-peaceful behavior, tear gas, and arrests, overall, the rallies were successful, peaceful, and the message was sent.

What particularly stuck out to me about yesterday were the number of mainstream media outlets who actually sent reporters to the rallies with cameramen and the number of arial views. The MSM will come around when they see that the actual news is getting more views than their nonsense news or news of avoidance.

The saddest news was the assassination of Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband in their home in the early hours yesterday morning. Minnesota Senator John Hoffman and his wife were shot multiple times in their home as well, but survived the attack and are in the hospital recovering from multiple gunshot wounds. The suspected assassin, Vance Boelter, is still at large and considered armed and dangerous. I hope they catch him today.

Yesterday was a Win for America, a loss for Minnesota, and a slam dunk into the pavement for Drumpf and his butt-kissing cult followers. His supposed ‘show of force’ through a military parade in Washington, DC did not come off that way and was not attended by anywhere near the number of MAGAs who support him otherwise. In fact more and more of his supporters are beginning to pull the wool from their eyes, cloudy and murky hazes are lifting from their minds, and they are seeing what is happening, and not really liking any of it. Five Things That Will Likely Get More Expensive In 2025

Homeowner’s Insurance – this goes up when the price of building materials go up. Drumpf’s tariffs on wood products, steel, and other materials that go into building or repairing a home will cause this insurance to spike.

Eggs – the price will continue to be high due to the Avian flu and Drumpf’s tariffs. Any products or equipment made or used with imported supplies that support domestic egg production will impact the price of eggs.

Coffee – is not grown in the U.S. Prices were already going up for other reasons before the Drumpf tariffs came along. So expect that morning jolt to cost you more this year.

Streaming Services – No particular reason – probably price gouging and opportunities because everything else is going up.

Travel – There are more fees being charged for visitor visa’s and permits to travel into certain countries. The MAGA “R’s” have convinced themselves that there is this large swath of able-bodied people just sitting at home on the couch taking advantage of Medicaid and they want them off the program. But what happens to the under employed, people who are working as much as they are being allowed to work, but not enough to keep Medicaid? What about the people who get laid off and are looking for work, but are unemployed for several months? Why exactly does this dropping of people from Medicaid add up to “millions” of people? Really? These eejits really believe that there are “millions” of people sitting on the couch every day watching TV, playing video games, doom scrolling their phones, eating what? And utilizing Medicaid? Do they even know what Medicaid is? It is NOT a cash hand out that everyone gets every month. It is an insurance card that allows you to go to the doctor, get your medication, get vaccinated. These people have never been on public assistance, have never needed it, have never felt the abject fear and terror of not being able to get their medication because they cannot afford it, not ever having benefits because jobs do not have to offer them, and more heart ache. We have to reclaim our local communities and all the boards, mayors, council people, district boards, school boards, library boards, water boards, recreational boards, city planning boards, county commissioners, sheriffs, county election boards, state legislators, AGs, Sec of State, Governors and everything else in between. We have to push out the hatred, bigotry, racism, phobia prone whackafools who want to tell everyone else how to live and get the message to go live your own life and let others live theirs. We can do this - this year, next year, and the year after that - and for years to come. Keep running our "freedom & democracy" candidates until we have it all back. If you cannot run for office, support someone who does that believes in equality and freedom!

You want a TOWN HALL MEETING? Don’t Wait for A Leader!

Set up a Town Hall Meeting without your representative. Hold the meeting and let everyone share. Take notes/meeting minutes. Send a copy of the official Meeting Minutes to their offices. Post them in newspapers and on every social media or other media you can. Make sure to put at the top who the representative was that did not show and where the town hall meeting was held. Then just report on what happened and all the concerns and questions. Hold these meetings weekly or regularly. Keep the pressure on even if they want to hide and pretend we/you all do not matter!

Then go out and contact a Democrat in your State and invite them to come talk in your district to answer questions. I will bet you they will show up!

Stay Engaged, Keep Learning, Keep Thinking Outside The Box

We all know how critical it is to stay engaged, stay together, speak together, rally together, write together, call together, and keep up the pressure everywhere all at once. There are a lot of us, so we can share the responsibilities, thus exerting more pressure than any one of us could do alone, or any small group. We can do this! We Are Democracy! We Are The People!
