Attorneys General
The Attorney General in your state is a very impactful position. This person serves as the lawyer for the State in an advisory capacity, but also in a legal one. This person also serves the public interest and represents all of the residents in a state to protect each and every one against civil rights violations, constitutional attacks on our freedom, and more. Whoever is voted into this position plays a big role in our every day lives. Case in Point – Ken Paxton – who played a very large role in the overturning of Roe V. Wade and has continued to attack people’s civil rights in Texas.
Another example is the 23 Attorneys General who have been collectively and collaboratively fighting the Federal government over everything from keeping the National Guard off our streets, to restoring SNAP funding, to restoring grants, keeping Federal Lands in the hands of the people and not private polluters, and more.
The Attorney General is also someone who stands up for your individual. Look at the case in Illinois where Gov. Pritzker just signed a bill that will allow Illinoisans to sue the Feds if ICE breaks State laws. Your Attorney General will be the person to pursue that for you.
Here are the people who are running for Attorney General in Your State. Scroll down to your State and find the candidates. It is important to vet them, see what they stand for, and who they will stand behind. Will they support you or will they only support the MAGAs? Primaries will be starting soon, so find your candidate and support them. That could be as easy as promoting them and their pluses on social media, or volunteering at their campaign quarters, knocking on doors on their behalf, handing out flyers, or donating money if you are able.
We must get the MAGAs out of our local, City, County and State elected offices. To do that we must get involved in some way. We must get more people registered to vote and then get them to the polls in the primaries and the general elections. If you can contribute in some small way, that will make a huge difference!

We have the best Atty General here in NC with Jeff Jackson.
He writes the most personal newsletters that I receive. In fact, just won another huge court battle.
Thank you for this Bluesmurf! And the following, which I excerpted from a Marc Elias post, is why I appreciate it. Maybe you and the readers have already seen this, but it's worth repeating. Trump is a president who knows he is losing. He lost his footing on the Epstein Files last summer and has never regained it. But that doesn’t mean Trump will disappear quietly. As we approach the 2026 elections, Trump is prepared to go to unprecedented, unconstitutional lengths to protect his congressional majority. One of these tactics is activating state officials who are willing to do his bidding. Abiding by Trump’s orders, they will enact new voter suppression laws and draw new gerrymandered maps. Trump also controls a Department of Justice that is willing to intimidate political opponents and aggressively litigate against voting rights. The DOJ’s Voting Section has filed 22 cases this year which seek sensitive voter data from states attempting to protect their citizens. The more desperate Trump becomes, the more dangerous he will be. The more likely Republicans are to lose control of Congress in 2026, the more reckless and determined Trump will be to undermine the outcome. Yet, with all of that, we still have the power of the vote. Make sure you’re registered to vote, and let’s get out there, vote in every local, municipal, county, state and federal election in which we’re eligible and encourage others to make the required effort as well!
